So sometimes after a long day/week of hammering deliverables and exceeding client expectations, we here like to kick back for a few minutes at the white board and argue back and forth about some fun topics. Today was no different. The monotony of top five lists getting promoted on Facebook these days inspired a few of us to list the top five albums that had the biggest impact on us.
As expected, there were pieces of music that covered the three generation within our office. No surprises there. However, it was very interesting to see a few albums that crossed generational lines. Some things are so good they are timeless. Here is a few of our lists (in no particular order of influence).
The boss (age 36)
- Ten (Pearl Jam)
- Appetite for Destruction (Guns N Roses)
- The Chronic (Dr. Dre)
- Joshua Tree (U2)
- Permanent Vacation (Aerosmith)
VP of Client Services (40+, I promised I wouldn’t tell)
Born to Run (Bruce Springsteen)
- Hotel California (Eagles)
- American Beauty (Grateful Dead)
- One more for the Road (Lynyrd Skynard)
- The Stranger (Billy Joel)
Account Executive (26)
- 40 Licks (Rolling Stones)
- Before These Crowded Streets (Dave Matthews)
- Foiled (Blue October)
- Inbetween Dreams (Jack Johnson)
- Bleed American (Jimmy Eat World)
What about you? Are there particular albums that influenced you more than others? We’d love to hear from you. We’ll continue to keep you up to speed on our white board conversations going forward.
